The benefits of Office Yoga:
1. Less sick days lost
Yoga revitalizes the immune system and the major organs of the body, removing waste products such as alcohol up to three times more quickly. Improved immunity means less work days are lost through colds, fatigue and other non-specific illnesses.
2. Less back pain
More than 60% of our population suffers on back pain and this number is rising. 1/3 of our absence at work is caused by back problems. Stronger, healthier backs that result from regular office yoga sessions will significantly reduce the number of days missed in your company. Count them.
3. Better problem solving skills
Yoga harmonizes the left and right sides of the brain so that logical and creative thought comes together as one. Flashes of inspiration should become increasingly common.
4. Quicker response time
By training you in the art of single pointedness, office yoga immediately improves mental concentration and focus.
5. The ability to Stay Cool
Stress is like an enclosing wall all around us. Yogic deep breathing and yoga stretches create a genuine sense of inner and outer space. Tightening deadlines, interpersonal conflict and other stresses will lose their grip as you learn to breathe and stand your ground.
6. The Happiness Factor
Yoga physiologically transforms apathy and depression by oxygenating the brain and increasing the level of endorphins in the blood. Yoga classes at work create a positive atmosphere

Chair yoga
Those of you with disabilities, weight challenges, inflexibility, or who just cannot get on the floor for whatever reason (such as age or being in a crowded work environment) can benefit from a daily practice of yoga on a chair in the comfort of your home or office. The chair replaces the yoga mat and becomes an extension of your body allowing you to take full advantage of yoga’s amazing fitness and health potential. Even if you are in a wheelchair, you can receive the many benefits of chair yoga–the integration of body, mind, and spirit that keeps the yoga practitioner at the top of their game.
Chair Yoga at work
It is common to spend hours upon hours on your chair at your desk doing your job, especially with the popularity of the computer. The time just slips by as your body fills with stress and fatigue.
While in the office you can incorporate chair yoga poses throughout the day without anyone even noticing. A few simple spinal movements, a lower back circle, facial and eye movements, wrist and ankle rotations, deep breathing techniques–replacing things like coffee and sugar. Production goes up, self-esteem goes up, and weight goes down. (Chair yoga at the office has positive effects on carpal-tunnel syndrome)
